Glass tubes are used in numerous electronic applications where discrete electronic components must be protected, isolated from the environment or sealed.  Some applications include reed switch bodies, fuse bodies, diode packages, lamps, transponders, flat panel displays and thermistors. The function of the glass varies by application, however, it is used many times to electrically insulate and passivate components or as a hermetic seal.

	Accu-Glass produces glass from a molten state which allows unlimited design possibilities.
	We can use a wide variety of materials including lead, soda lime, borosilicate, barium, ferrite and other exotic glass formulations.

Each product manufactured by Accu-Glass is designed for a specific application. For example:

Precision glass tubing which is used to passivate diodes using a leaded glass material which is drawn as a round tube and precision cut.

A barium glass formulation which is drawn into a precision rectangular tube while holding tolerances of +/- 0.0001 inch on the I.D. (inside diameter). The tubing is then precision cut and used as a reed switch body.
