These laws are designed to ensure that businesses can compete fairly. They prohibit agreements among competitors that restrain trade or reduce competition, such as agreements to fix, stabilize or control prices; limit output levels or the sale of products; allocate customers or geographic territories; or boycott certain suppliers or customers.
