BD Biosciences and P D Hinduja National Hospital jointly organised a two day workshop on clinical flow cytometry at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai on 16th & 17th May 2003. The workshop received an overwhelming response with more than 50 participants for the lectures and 25 participants for the wet workshops. Most of the participants were consultant hematologists, clinical immunologists and pathologists. A nominal registration fee of Rs. 2000 was charged from each participant. The emphasis of the workshop was flow cytometry based diagnosis of chronic lymphoproliferative disorders, acute leukemia phenotyping and stem cells analysis. The workshop was addressed by various eminent specialists in the field of flow cytometry and served as a common platform for the clinicians and laboratory medicine experts.
