Becton Dickinson Acquires Tru-Fit


Franklin Lakes, NJ (January 26, 1998) -- Becton Dickinson and Company has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tru-Fit Marketing Corporation, a Massachusetts-based sports medicine company with an international reputation for producing quality, innovative products distributed primarily in the sporting goods channel. Upon completion of the acquisition, Tru-Fit will join Becton Dickinson's Consumer Health Care business in providing product offerings representative of a leadership position in sports, therapeutic, and health care products.

For Becton Dickinson, the acquisition of Tru-Fit is a first step in an overall plan to grow our business globally and broadly. Tru-Fit offers innovative, quality products that are customer focused in sporting goods.
