We are pleased to announce that Camilla Jenkins of Corporate, Carolyn Kinsley of Injection Systems and Bette Leogrande of Consumer Products were recognized for their outstanding achievements at the 23rd annual Tribute to Women and Industry dinner held on April 10th at the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mahwah.

Becton Dickinson is a charter member of TWIN, an organization that honors women who have excelled in their fields and made significant contributions to industry. Becton Dickinson has been a member since 1976 with a total of 55 honorees, 29 of whom are still active in the company. TWIN also salutes corporations whose policies and practices encourage high achievement by women and which promote equal advancement opportunities for women of diverse backgrounds.

Camilla Jenkins, director, Communications and Community Relations, manages the company's communications functions and community relations programs. She serves as the project director for this year's worldwide celebration of our 100th anniversary. Camilla has introduced innovations in communications on a worldwide basis throughout the company. She has identified strategic opportunities that answer social, health care education and human service needs throughout the community.

Carolyn Kinsley, manager, Sterilization Sciences, manages all sterilization sciences for the Worldwide Injections Systems business. This includes assessments and upgrades of plant microlabs and sterilization personnel and evaluation and upgrade assistance on sterilization technology. Carolyn has raised the knowledge and application of her specialty to new levels, both within the company and our industry. She is recognized nationally for her training and education activities. Her ability to "de-mystify" the science for all is a key to her success and makes her an effective team member.

Bette Leogrande, manager, Marketing Services, is responsible for seeking opportunities to leverage the marketing, merchandising and graphic services for the Diabetes Health Care and Home Health Care businesses worldwide. Her goal is to provide consistency in packaging, educational and promotional materials in the most cost effective manner. She provided leadership to the Wal*Mart/PACE Pharmacist Counseling program which provided Becton Dickinson with an excellent opportunity to be recognized by Wal*Mart as the partner with expertise in diabetes care.
