Healy has been named Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, effective immediately. Healy replaces Robert M. Hallenbeck, who will join the life science research business of BD Biosciences, based in San Jose, California.

Healy, 45, joined BD in 1995 and was appointed Vice President and Secretary in 1997. Prior to joining the Company she had been a partner with the New York City law firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan and before that was an associate in New York and Paris, France with Davis, Polk and Wardwell. Her prior legal experience has included domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures representing corporations, financial advisors and major shareholder groups.
She graduated with honors from Brown University and magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.
