BD Announces Webcast of Q1 Conference Call

Contact: Camilla B. Jenkins BD (201) 847-5369 Franklin Lakes, NJ (January 11, 2001) -- BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) (NYSE:BDX) will provide a live audio webcast of its conference call to review the Company's first fiscal quarter results on Thursday, January 18, 2001, at 8:30 a.m. EST.
Results for the quarter will be announced after the close of the market on Wednesday, January 17, on Business Wire and on the First Call network.
The audio webcast can be accessed through the BD website, www.bd.com, and will be available for replay through Wednesday, January 24, 2001. Minimum requirements to listen to the broadcast are at least a 14.4bps connection to the Internet and RealPlayer® Basic software, which can be downloaded for free from the Real Networks® Web site.
