BD to Present New Blood Glucose Monitoring Products


Franklin Lakes, NJ (December 10, 2002) -- BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) (NYSE:BDX) announced today that it will host a launch meeting in New York City on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 to present its new blood glucose monitoring products.

The event, originally planned for December, has been rescheduled for January to avoid year-end holiday conflicts.

BD's blood glucose monitoring products are based upon state-of-the-art blood glucose meter and strip technology, delivering accurate results in just five seconds and using the thinnest lancet available to minimize pain. The Company recently began taking orders for its blood glucose monitoring products in the U.S.

The launch meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at 8:00 a.m. (EST) and is expected to conclude by 9:00 a.m. (EST). Those who are unable to attend in person can listen to the meeting via live webcast at www.bd.com. Following the conclusion of the meeting, a rebroadcast will be available until midnight on January 15, 2003 on BD's website or by calling 1-888-562-4432 in the U.S. or 1-402-530-7652 outside the U.S. No access code is needed.
