The “BD Biosciences Immunology Grants” will be awarded to three applicants who detail an innovative research project that will utilize BD Biosciences immunology research reagents. A team of distinguished scientists from academic and other research institutions head the panel that will determine the winners. BD Biosciences will honor two researchers with immunology research reagents valued at $25,000 each and one Grand Prize winner with immunology research reagents valued at $50,000. Applicants are encouraged to submit abstracts within the fields of cell signaling, stem cell research, immune function or cancer research, but proposals for research in other immunology fields will also be accepted. “There are thousands of investigators with wonderful ideas that will advance the scientific understanding of disease. For many of them, funding limitations for research reagents can be a tremendous hurdle,” said Robert Balderas, VP, R&D, BD Biosciences. “These grants are an expression of BD’s continuing commitment to innovation in research and development.” Interested researchers may apply online at www.bdbiosciences.com/grant.
