San Jose, CA (February 14, 2007) --

BD Biosciences, a segment of BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), announced today a new 10-city U.S. seminar series, BD Biosciences Technology Days, to provide life science researchers and industrial scientists comprehensive scientific information about technological advances in cell analysis to help speed the pace of biomedical research and discovery.

“Today’s researchers are under enormous pressure to demonstrate the value of their work and also to keep abreast of rapid changes in technology that could enhance their capability to answer complex biological and medical questions,” said Robert Balderas, Vice President, R&D, BD Biosciences. “BD’s Technology Days seminars will help the scientific community better understand the latest cell analysis technologies that have the potential to transform life science research.”

The BD seminar series, scheduled to run from February 27 through April 25, will offer information about new reagents and products in flow cytometry and bioimaging as well as discussions on how to apply them. Presentations by leading scientists from the research community and BD representatives will provide insights into cell signaling, multiplexing, phosphorylation and other topics. Researchers will report on their work using these advanced cell analysis technologies to find drug candidates or treatment regimens for specific diseases. In addition to the seminar presentations, BD will host a roundtable discussion for attendees to obtain answers to their scientific and technological questions.
