For more than 100 years, BD has consistently applied its technologies, resources, and institutional knowledge to help address fundamental health issues. Today, BD is scaling up our response to disease pandemics in the developing world by focusing its efforts in four key areas:

• Increasing access to critically needed technologies
• Improving clinical and laboratory services
• Investing in new technologies
• Supporting volunteerism and philanthropy

In each of these four focus areas, BD is collaborating across the private and public sectors to create effective and sustainable programs that help build the healthcare capacity needed to prevent, diagnose and treat HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria.
