BD in South Africa was named one of the BEST Employers™ 2010/11 by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF) Institute of South Africa.  In South Africa, BD was rated among the top 10 employers and was ranked first in the Medical Diagnostics sector, second among smaller employers and third among “Best Empowered” employers.

To compile the rankings, the CRF Institute uses international standards to audit HR policies and employment conditions, interviews associates and visits offices to meet with senior management of the company.  The Institute identifies the front-runners in excellent HR management using research, objectivity and an independent and selective assessment.   BEST Employers identifies the best companies to work for based on the employment framework offered to top talent in the form of pay and benefits, working conditions, career development, training and development and overall employment experience from a corporate culture perspective.
