Mycoplasma Enrichment without Penicillin is a lyophilized blend of ingredients used to supplement suitable media when isolation of Mycoplasma spp., including M. pneumoniae, is desired.

Mycoplasma Enrichment is recommended as a supplement to Mycoplasma Agar Base and Mycoplasma Broth Base for the isolation and cultivation of Mycoplasma species. When added to these bases, the enrichment enhances the growth of mycoplasmas. The addition of penicillin inhibits bacteria in mixed cultures.
