Intended Use:

Difco™ Supplement C is a desiccated yeast concentrate used to supplement media for cultivating fastidious organisms with exacting growth requirements.

Product Summary:

Mattman¹ used blood agar with Supplement C for studying the hemolytic reactions of streptococci and pneumococci.

User Quality Control:

Add Difco Supplement C to an appropriate dehydrated medium (e.g., GC Agar Base) prepared according to label directions. Test samples of the complete medium for performance using stable, typical control organisms.
