Among them are staining the trophozoite, cyst, and egg stages of intestinal parasites.1-3 Use of BBL Dobell & O'Connor Iodine Stain Droppers aid the visualization of the components of specimens observed microscopically. The selection of the appropriate technique depends upon the specimen.2-4 Use of BBL Dobell & O'Connor Iodine Stain Droppers aid the visualization of the components of specimens observed microscopically. The selection of the appropriate technique depends upon the specimen.2-4 Direct microscopic examination of a clinical specimen will demonstrate an increase of color and contrast of intestinal parasites subjected to Dobell & O'Connor iodine stain. Quality control requirements must be performed in accordance with applicable local, state and/or federal regulations or accreditation requirements and your laboratory's standard Quality Control procedures. It is recommended that the user refer to pertinent NCCLS guidance and CLIA regulations for appropriate Quality Control practices. BBL Dobell & O'Connor Iodine Stain Droppers contain 0.5 mL of solution consisting of iodine 1%, potassium iodide 2%, and water. For in vitro Diagnostic Use.
