Product Summary: «

The BD™ Sputum Collection System consists of an individually wrapped funnel with a hinged lid, protective amber body, a detachable graduated 50 mL conical tube and removable base. The system as a unit is packaged in a plastic bag and is processed to a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-3. The screw cap on the 50 mL conical tube is specially designed to accomplish the sealing of the tube by an interference fit between the plug inside the cap and the inside of the tube. To screw the cap into the sealed position, rotate it clockwise until it is securely seated. The wall of the centrifuge tube is etched to provide an area for marking the identity of the patient from whom the sample was obtained.
