The media-free nature of this product helps to minimize sample dilution which may occur in media-based products and eliminates the potential for non-viables that can be seen in some transport media. Familiar and comfortable to use, the BBL Vacutainer Anaerobic Specimen Collector keeps anaerobic bacteria viable for up to 72 hours. The device offers a built-in oxygen-elimination system that is activated by depressing the plunger and includes a reliable color-change indicator to ensure that anaerobiasis has been achieved.
