In the late 1960s, BD launched the first ever commercial system for environmental generation, eliminating the need for vacuum pumps, gas tanks, nanometers and release valves. Over the next 40 plus years, BD has introduced a series of continuallyinnovative and high performance products into this market. For the generation of anaerobic, microaerophilic or C02-enriched atmospheres in containers or jars, BD offers the BD GasPak™ EZ Container, BBL™ GasPak™ Plus, and BBL™ GasPak™ Systems. For the generation of anaerobic, microaerophilic or C02-enriched atmospheres in pouches BD offers the BD GasPak EZ Pouch, BBL GasPak Pouch and Bio-Bag™ Environmental Chamber Systems. Indicators may be placed in the vesicle to indicate when anaerobiasis or C02 generation is complete.

BD GasPak™ Products and Accessories
BD GasPak™ EZ Systems offer waterless, catalyst-free convenience for use in producing anaerobic, microaerophilic or CO2-enriched environments. The GasPak EZ Systems are available in non-breakable, chemical resistant containers or one-step resealable pouches. The original BBL™ GasPak™ Plus and BBL™ CampyPak™ Plus systems are activated by the addition of water. Both products feature a safety shielded integral catalyst strip on each envelope and are placed inside a GasPak 100 or GasPak 150 Jar when used. The GasPak Pouch and CampyPouch are self-contained systems which, after the addition of water, will produce an anaerobic or microaerophilic atmosphere suitable for the cultivation of anaerobic or microaerophilic organisms. This heat-free technology minimizes condensate and thus allows excellent bacterial colony visualization though the pouch. GasPak Disposable Anaerobic and CO2 Indicators are available to provide reliable methods for assuring ideal anaerobic and CO2 enriched environments are achieved.
