A: Yes. It is double insulated (Class II). It has two levels of insulating material and there is no leakage current path. (no shocking capability)

Q: Why doesn't the unit require a three-pronged plug or ground wire?
A: Leakage current is always measured with reference to earth ground. The Power Pack enclosure meets the safety requirements and is double insulated so there is no need for the ground prong.

A: The amperage of the viewer is 0.5 amps and runs through a 12 volt AC power pack.

A: The mirror holder is hemispherical in shape, made of steel with suitable plating to protect the surface from corrosion. The mirror rests in a curved pocket on the surface of the viewer housing. It is retained in the pocket by a permanent magnet mounted inside the frame.
