Q: What is the maximum operating temperature the motor can tolerate?
A: The maximum operating temperature for the motor is 104 degrees C, however, due to plastic and rubber parts, we would suggest that the safest maximum operating temperature is 75 degrees C.
Q: Does the replacement motor (421504) have the "gear" included?
A: No. When replacing the motor, remove the eccentric arm from the old motor and install arm on the shaft of the new motor. Some Biomeds have been discarding the "eccentric arm" with the old motor. It is a small part that fits on the bottom of the motor shaft. The new motors do not come with this part and the Nutator will not rock without it.
Q: What is the rotational speed?
A: The speed is 24 to 25 rotations per minute. The tray is inclined at an angle of 20 degrees. The unit mixes in a figure 8 motion.
