System Support Engineering (SSE)


The System Support Engineering (SSE) group is responsible for supporting all BDDS instruments (BACTEC™, ProbeTec™, EpiCenter™, Phoenix™, BACTEC MGIT™, BACTEC™ 460, BDViper™) through phone assistance.

The SSE group provides 7 days/wk, 24 hour phone support service, 365 days/year, and 7 days on-site service when needed. Field service engineering on-site response time is 24 to 48 hours from initial problem reporting depending on the type of service contract options that the customer has selected.

In addition to providing uninterrupted customer phone support, the SSE group is responsible for developing instrument technical documentation and certification training, conducting engineering training courses, customer complaint initial entries, part shipments, and worldwide BD service personnel assistance.

BD System Support Engineering is the frontline of BD customer service and support. Our engineers are uniquely qualified to deal with a wide variety of customer issues and concerns. Every member of the group takes pride in making contribution to high quality service and support for BD instrument users and, ultimately, in helping people live healthy lives.
