Your purchase of a new BD Diagnostic Systems instrument includes training for one member of your laboratory staff. After your delivery date has been determined, you will be contacted by Training Administrative Coordinator to make arrangements for your travel and training. Your training includes:
In addition to the training you receive while you are in Sparks, MD , the TTC provides ongoing education through regularly scheduled webinars . We host seminars on the internet that cover current topics in diagnostic microbiology and infectious diseases. The TTC often invites Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) from various industry segments to provide recent technological and diagnostic insights into disease detection and treatments.
Past webinars have included discussions on microbial resistance, new advances in identification of microorganisms, diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases, and BD ProbeTec™ ET and BACTEC™ User Groups, in which BD System Users presented case histories. All of our webinars are also accredited for CEU's through ASCLS P.A.C.E.® (including California) and the State of Florida. Archived webinars are also available on the internet should you or your colleagues miss the live event. And, because we think that laboratory education is an integral part of our professional services, these programs are offered to our customers at no charge.
The Technology Training Center is also responsible for creation and distribution of technical information for use with your BD Systems. We keep you informed of new product information and updates through the distribution of Technical Bulletins . Technical Bulletins may take the form of "Helpful Hints" or "Technical Tips" in using a BD product, may provide you with new, updated information on the use of a product or may describe minor hardware changes that may occur in system accessories. The TTC also writes Release Notes for new software releases so that you can easily understand what changes have been implemented, and more importantly, how those changes can improve your system and/or make it easier to use.
Whatever the topic, as the "education branch" of BD Diagnostic Systems, you can be assured that the TTC will keep you well informed about your BD System.
