BD has made the decision to no longer pursue the development and launch of an ISO-80369-3 compliant enteral male syringe, known as BD UniVia™ RightFit Syringe.

A recent evaluation of the BD UniVia™ RightFit Syringe program identified some technical challenges that would impact our ability to bring to market an ISO 80369-3 solution within a timely manner.

BD also took into consideration health care provider concerns around the disruption of therapy and care continuity that may result in carrying two disparate ISO 80369-3 enteral feeding systems.
