The home health care environment is fast-paced. Much of what clinicians do is second nature. • Old Age is New
This activity for one (1) contact hour is provided by BD Medical Systems Clinical Resource Services Department, which is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the California Board of Registered Nursing provider #CEP 13136. This certificate must be retained by the attendee for a period of 4 years.

The health care needs of the older patient are multiple and complex. Nurses often are not educated in the normal aging process and the older person's response to illness and health care interventions. Many of the clinical IV problems that the elderly face can be averted or alleviated with proper educational references and nursing interventions that are focused on improving and maintaining safe and effective intravenous therapy.
