LASIK Irrigating Cannula Lindstrom
Catalog# 585250

BD Visitec View LASIK Irrigating Cannula Lindstrom demonstration by Dr. Lindstrom.
Real Video  28.8K   56K

  • Conforms to the corneal flap
  • Used after ablation to replace the flap, irrigate the interface and stroke down the flap.
  • The LASIK Irrigating Cannula is shaped to the corneal flap curvature for atraumatic flap manipulation.

    1. 2-in-1 design allows simultaneous irrigation and manipulation of flap
    2. Three irrigation ports thoroughly flush out interface, minimizing foreign body sensation and promoting flap adhesion
    3. Ideal for massaging the flap
In the words of Dr. Lindstrom, "The Lindstrom Irrigating Cannula offers a uniquely designed disposable product for 2-in-1 simultaneous irrigation and atraumatic manipulation of the flap. The BD Lindstrom LASIK Irrigating Cannula was developed to afford the surgeon a convenient, inexpensive, atraumatic and effective tool for flap manipulation and interface irrigation. I use it to gently lift and smooth the flap prior to laser ablation. I then hydrate the bed and atraumatically replace the flap with the cannula. I then irrigate under the flap to reduce debris and antigens or infectious agents that might cause a keratitis. The curve of the cannula allows one to reposition the flap accurately. Gentle stroking with irrigation on the surface of the eye re-approximates the flap edges and squeezes excess fluid from the interface allowing good adhesion. The instrument may also be used to lift flaps for enhancement or to treat postoperative complications such as flap striae, interface debris, or diffuse lamellar keratitis."
