Use: The ring is placed after the microkeratome dissection, before the flap is reflected. Designed for nasal and superior hinged flaps. Applied by slightly moistening sponge with drops.

Circular Ring	Absorbs excess fluid and blood. Prevents fluid from encroaching into stromal bed.	Minimizes risk of under-correction and contamination of bed with fluid from fornices.
Flap Shields	Protects anterior and posterior portion of flap and hinge. Holds flap back and keeps it from curling on itself. Keeps flap from curling back onto stromal bed (reflected).	Reduces risk of contamination of epithelial side of flap and of particulate matter on stomal side of flap. Keeps flap smooth reducing risk of striae.
Polyvinyl alcohol material	Particulate-free bodies at interface.	Minimizes risk of foreign body sensation and promotes flap adhesion.
