BD in the Philippines In 1976, BD opened a regional office for its trading and distribution activities in the Philippines. The local operation began in 1982. In the early years, BD syringes and needles comprised most of sales. Gradually more products were added to the product portfolio. Sales of diagnostic products also began to pick up. In 1989 BD in the Philippines established separate Diagnostic and Medical sectors in order to respond to the growing market and to develop the potential of all product lines. Sales of both divisions rose dramatically thereafter. Today, BD operates across three segments: - BD Medical - BD Diagnostics - BD Biosciences The driving force behind our efforts to achieve distinction in terms of product quality, product delivery, customer training programs, and after-sales service is reflected in our purpose, "Helping All People Live Healthy Lives".
