BD Supports World Diabetes Day in India

BD associates in Haryana, India show their support for World Diabetes Day.

About BD in India

  • History
Diabetes care was the cornerstone of establishing BD in India in 1996. At that time, India was home to more people with diabetes than any other country, and standards in diabetes care were far below those in the rest of the world. The BD plant in Haryana has facilitated easier distribution of diabetes care products to the Indian population.

  • Today
BD in India works extensively in the areas of drug discovery, diagnosis and drug delivery, focusing on customer needs and the overall improvement of medical practices. BD in India has also had a significant impact on the education and training of healthcare workers in the country, training tens of thousands of nurses and doctors in safe-injection techniques, infusion therapy, hospital waste management, patient safety protocol, needlestick injury prevention and diabetes care education.
