Diabetes Activities in Japan
- The Staged Diabetes Management (SDM) program, which BD in Japan has supported for 13 years, helps to educate healthcare professionals across Japan on diabetes care and management. The program sets clinical guidelines that provide practical solutions to the detection and treatment of diabetes. As of 2007, 13 SDM study groups exist in Japan which facilitate and promote the collaboration between hospitals and clinics. BD in Japan currently provides educational support for study groups and doctors.

Electronic Staged Diabetes Management (e-SDM) was established in 2001 and provides up-to-date diabetes education and information for approximately 3,000 doctors who have registered. To find out more, please visit http://www.sdmj.ne.jp/.
Diabetes Camp Program in Japan
