BD Supports World Diabetes Day Events in Taiwan

• BD associates are involved in a World Diabetes Day event, jointly sponsored by the Diabetes Association ROC, Taiwan Association of Diabetes Educators and Formosa Diabetes Care Foundation.  BD associates are volunteering with these organizations to promote fitness and proper diabetes care to Taiwan’s children.  The event, which includes sports competitions, takes place November 18, 2007 in Taipei.

Collaborations and Partnerships

• BD supports the Diabetes Association ROC by providing educational services to doctors, mainly endocrinologists, throughout Taiwan.
  
  
• Throughout the year, BD holds educational conferences, titled 31 Better Diabetes Care Days, during every month that has 31 days. The program's goal is to educate people with diabetes on the most up-to-date treatment options.
  
  
• Taiwan Association of Diabetes Educators
  BD supports the Taiwan Association of Diabetes Educators (TADE) by providing doctors, nurses, dieticians and pharmacists with the latest information on diabetes care. Healthcare professionals receive certification through their membership, allowing them to receive government reimbursement for diabetes patient education and outreach.
