BD Supports the First Official World Diabetes Day 2007

On December 20, 2006, the General Assembly of the United Nations passed a landmark Resolution recognizing diabetes as a chronic, debilitating and costly disease. The Resolution designates World Diabetes Day as an official United Nations Day. Organized by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and supported by the World Health Organization (WHO), the first official World Diabetes Day will be celebrated on November 14, 2007.

BD is proud to participate in and sponsor World Diabetes Day events through IDF. The Company hosted additional World Diabetes Day activities around the world.
