The Measles Initiative, which considers BD to be one of its key partners, announced a warning about the resurgence of measles and urged countries to continue vaccination campaigns to continue the decrease in deaths.

NBA Legend Dikembe Mutombo, UNICEF, Executive Director Ann M. Veneman and BD Commemorate Opening of New Center to Improve HIV/AIDS Treatment in the Democratic Republic of Congo

BD, NBA legend Dikembe Mutombo and UNICEF launched two Centers of Excellence: an Immune System Monitoring Laboratory and an Occupational Safety Centre for Health Workers. The safety center will train more than 200 clinicians while the new laboratory will improve monitoring and treatment of patients living with HIV/AIDS.

BD and Direct Relief International Team Up to Provide Free Diabetes Insulin Injection Products to Americans Impacted by the Economic Downturn

BD and Direct Relief created a program to help people in the U.S. with insulin-dependent diabetes who have been affected by the current economic situation. BD pledged to donate 5 million syringes to more than 1,000 community health center and free clinic partners nationwide.

AmeriCares and BD Worked Together to Stop the Spread of Cholera in Zimbabwe

Tanzania to Benefit from BD and PEPFAR Collaboration to Strengthen Laboratory Systems in Fight Against HIV/AIDS and TB

BD and PEPFAR collaborated together to create a five-year relationship to commit to improving overall laboratory systems and services in Tanzania, as well as other African countries, that are severely affected by HIV/AIDS and TB.

AmeriCares Provides Hope for Diabetes Care in Cambodia

BD and Direct Relief International Launch Volunteer Service Program to Improve Healthcare in Ghana

BD and Direct Relief launched their volunteer service trip in Ghana to help build local healthcare capacity in the region. BD sent 12 volunteers for three weeks to strengthen healthcare in two areas of Ghana.
