EPINet™ for Microsoft® Access
What is EPINet™ for Microsoft® Access?
EPINet was originally made available utilizing a DOS-based platform. Dr. Jagger, developed the Microsoft Access version to take advantage of the advances in desktop computing, making the task of recording occupational injuries and exposures easier and more intuitive. Users minimum requirements are as follows: an IBM® compatible PC with a Pentium® processor, Windows® 95 or greater; Microsoft Office 97 professional version (to include Access, Word and Excel) or greater, 16MB of RAM or greater with at least 5MB of free hard disk space. The program will run faster with 64MB of RAM and a Pentium II processor of at least 450MHz. Hard disk requirements are roughly 1MB per 1,000 recorded incidents above the original 5MB.
Data recorded in the DOS version of EPINet can be imported into the Microsoft® Access version.
Regulatory Compliance
In addition to being very easy to use, EPINet for Microsoft® Access is also a method of compliance for new record-keeping requirements recently enacted, or being considered, by many states and by Federal OSHA.
