| About BD's Environmental Systems In the late 1960s, BD launched the first ever commercial system for environmental generation, eliminating the need for vacuum pumps, gas tanks, nanometers and release valves. Over the next 50 plus years, BD has introduced a series of continually innovative and high performance products for the generation of anaerobic, micro-aerophilic or C02-enriched atmospheres in containers or jars.
