BBL™ CHROMagar™ products are designed to streamline identification, provide enhanced differentiation of pathogens and allow microbiologists to realize material and labor reductions in the laboratory.  

This highly differentiated product family combines the patented CHROMagar technology for organism identification with the high quality BBL proprietary peptones and media ingredients that microbiologists have counted on for decades, resulting in formulations available only from BD.

The GasPak™ EZ System represents the first and only complete, integrated system for rapid, waterless and catalyst-free gas generation.

BD GasPak™ EZ Systems offer waterless, catalyst-free convenience for use in producing anaerobic, microaerophilic or CO₂-enriched environments. The GasPak™ EZ Systems are available in non-breakable, chemical resistant containers or one-step resealable pouches.

BD Microtrol™ - Discs
First Generation QC Strains

BD Microtrol™ discs are pure strains of viable freeze-dried bacteria in activated charcoal for use as control organisms.

They offer the following features:

• First generation from recognized national culture collections.
• Easily storable source of viable microorganisms with long shelf-life.
• Between 10⁶ - 10⁹ organisms in each disc.
• Direct inoculation on surface or establishing liquid culture.
