2011 Sustainability Report

Overview

BD’s approach to sustainability is one of shared value. We identify opportunities to address unmet health needs and develop innovative products that advance global health outcomes while generating significant business value.

By understanding the relationship between strong economic performance, social responsibility and respect for the environment, we can achieve BD’s purpose of "Helping all people live healthy lives."

We recognize the connection between healthy people and a healthy environment. BD’s commitment to both guides our conduct wherever we operate. We work continuously to create safe workplaces for our associates; shrink our environmental footprint; promote diversity among our associates; and act at all times with the utmost integrity.
