Overview

In an environment specifically designed to nurture new biotech collaborative opportunities and businesses, the BD BioVenture Center provides early-stage companies access to a world-class bioresearch infrastructure that includes state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, as well as the opportunity to connect with BD business leaders and scientists from around the world. Fueled by these resources and venture capital funding, high-potential biotech companies have from six months to two years to "incubate" and evolve into full-fledged businesses.

The BioVenture Center engages in early stage incubation and technology development and has primary interest in the following technology areas:

  • Cell and Tissue Engineering
  • New Diagnostic Platforms
  • Parenteral Drug Delivery
  • New Medical Device Materials

Fifteen companies have participated in the BD BioVenture Center program to date, creating over 400 high-quality biotech jobs in the region and raising more than $400 million in corporate, government and venture funding.
