OverviewThe Advanced Medical Technologies group at BD Technologies is developing novel and proprietary drug containment, delivery and diagnostic technologies designed to enhance treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes and halt the spread of infectious diseases. Over the past 100 years, BD has developed a wealth of knowledge about effective parenteral drug delivery, and AMT is complementing that history with new technologies for metabolic monitoring, closed loop blood glucose control, parenteral drug injection and infusion and "smart" device technologies to generate, manage and distribute the information that results from use of these technologies. BDT AMT is committed to helping all people live healthy lives and works closely with BD business units to turn new technologies into products. Our projects span Product Development, Technology Development and "white space" efforts in support of this goal. To that end, our focus is on platform technologies that will enable BD to develop disruptive, radical and architecturally unique high value products that enable improved health care outcomes for our customers and new revenue streams for BD.
