Small Business Classifications

BD recognizes the six Small Business classifications as identified by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) – Small Business Programs – Part 19.001 Definitions:

1. Small Business
2. Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB)
3. Women-Owned Small Business
4. HUBZone Small Business
5. Veteran-Owned Small Business
6. Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business

Small Businesses interested in a supplier relationship with BD through the BD Small Business Program must be established as a small business organized for profit, located in and having primary operations within the United States.
