    The BD FocalPoint™ Slide Profiler uses multiple algorithms to assign a score (0.0 to 1.0) to each slide based on the probability of abnormality.

    This information is used to classify slides into ‘Review’ and ‘No Further Review’ (NFR) groups and then to rank Review slides into five quintiles (1= highest risk, 5=lowest risk) helping cytologists to understand the risk inherent in each slide.

    The Directed QC Technology™ provides Quality Control (QC) re-screening information to help the lab efficiently perform the CLIA mandated QC re-screen process in the lab.
