Programs in Development

We are currently developing products that might be used in the fields of ovarian, breast, and prostate cancer.

We will use a combination of genomics and proteomics to identify relevant proteins (and variants) for the early detection of cancer using serum-based immunodiagnostics. These products are being designed to aid in the early detection of cancer. These tests can be performed on patients before overt clinical symptoms appear, allowing the physician to manage the disease early in the process. The detection of cancer before clinical symptoms appear will afford the greatest opportunity to treat the disease with the highest likelihood of a successful cure.

Our future products will take advantage of the fact that tumor cells secrete proteins into the blood, and that these proteins can then be detected using standard clinical diagnostic procedures. Our screening products will utilize serum samples from patients collected at their primary healthcare provider, making the procedure as simple as possible for the screening of early stage cancer.

Ovarian Cancer Screening Program

We are completing the discovery phase and initiating development of an a product for ovarian cancer. Our ovarian cancer screening test will be a blood-based immunoassay comprised of a panel of antibodies that will measure the expression of target proteins specific from early stage ovarian cancer. By detecting ovarian cancer at an earlier stage of disease, we believe that use of our test will lead to earlier initiation of treatment and increased patient survival.

Breast Cancer Screening Program

We are completing the discovery phase and early development of reagents for screening of breast cancer. This test will be a blood-based, quantitative immunoassay targeted at the identification of multiple proteins specific to early stage breast cancer. We believe that distinguishing those women who have an underlying malignancy from those who do not will lead to reduced morbidity as well as the avoidance of unnecessary biopsies, which could result in significant savings to the health care system.

Colorectal Cancer Screening Program

We plan to complete the discovery phase and initiate development of a screening test for colorectal cancer. The colorectal cancer screening test will be a blood-based immunoassay comprised of a panel of antibodies that will measure the expression of target proteins. We believe that our test will detect the pre-cursor adenoma polyps as well as early stage colorectal cancer. By detecting colorectal cancer at an earlier stage of disease we believe that use of our test could lead to earlier initiation of treatment and increased patient survival.
