The 31-gauge, 8mm (5/16") BD Ultra-Fine™ Short Needle is 37% shorter than a 12.7mm needle. Consult your doctor before using the BD Ultra-Fine™ Short Needle, and carefully monitor your blood glucose when changing to a shorter needle. BD insulin syringes are available in three barrel sizes (1mL, ½ mL and 3/10 mL). Sizes are color-coded for easy identification. |

People who use the 3/10 mL version of this syringe can choose between a barrel with full-unit markings and BD's 3/10 mL barrel featuring a unique half-unit scale. If you measure doses in half-unit increments, the half-unit markings may help to make your small insulin doses easier and more precise than ever.
