Injection & Disposal Are The Main Causes
of Needlestick Injury


In physician offices and home health care, injections and needle disposal cause more needlestick injuries than phlebotomy procedures.

The American Nurses Association Consensus Statement notes that healthcare workers in non-hospital settings account for about 65% of U.S. healthcare workers, a proportion that will grow in the next decade.
