NEW BD™ P700 Blood Collection and Preservation System for GLP-1 Analysis

BD™ P700 is a new blood collection tube that provides immediate stabilization of plasma GLP-1, an important gastrointestinal hormone that is known to stimulate insulin secretion in the presence of glucose.

BD™ P700 contains a proprietary protease inhibitor that protects GLP-1, at the point of collection, from degradation by the aminopeptidase DPP-IV (CD26). Plasma obtained from BD™ P700 can be used in assays that require the reliable detection and quantitation of GLP-1. Studies show that BD™ P700 enables significant increase in GLP-1 recovery (Table 1).
