necessary to enter. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning.

TO ENTER : Complete and submit the online entry form available at www.bd.com/vacutainer between 8 am Eastern Standard Time (EST) on February 1, 2005 and 7 pm (EST) on April 1, 2005. Limit one entry per person. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the e-mail account as of April 1, 2005. Mass entries or entries generated by a script, macro, or use of automated devices will be disqualified.

PRIZE/ODDS : One (1) Grand Prize is guaranteed to be awarded (approximate value: $1,000 ). All federal, state and local taxes on prize are winner's sole responsibility. The Grand Prize awarded winner will receive an athletic bag filled with educational aids on or about May 15, 2005. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.

WINNER SELECTION/NOTIFICATION : One (1) winner will be determined in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Random drawing will be conducted on or about April 15, 2005. Winner will be notified within ten (10) days after the drawing. If selected and winner does not respond within seven (7) days or if the selected winner cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing from among the remaining eligible entries. No substitutions for prize. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use the winner’s name, prize won, and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity (including web posting) without additional compensation.

ELIGIBILITY: This sweepstakes is intended for Laboratory Managers, health and safety officers, and infection control officers 18 years or older and is open only to legal residents of the 50 states in the United States and the District of Columbia. Employees and directors of BD and its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, retailers, advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate families of each are not eligible to enter. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law.

SWEEPSTAKES RESULTS : For the name of winner (available after May 16, 2005) send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: BD, Win a Free Athletic Bag Sweepstakes-MC 304, 1 Becton Drive, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417.

MISCELLANEOUS : By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which will be binding and final in all respects. Participants agree that BD and its respective affiliates, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents shall have no liability, and shall be held harmless for any damage, losses, or injury resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of prize or participation in this Sweepstakes.

CAUTION : Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operations of the sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, BD reserves the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law and to disqualify such entrant from the sweepstakes. In the event the sweepstakes is, in the opinion of BD, compromised by a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of BD, which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or property of the sweepstakes, BD reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify, suspend, or terminate the online method of entry of the sweepstakes. If the sweepstakes is terminated prior to its expiration date, a notice will be posted at www.bd.com/vacutainer.
