Die Wirksamkeit der Chlorhexidin-&-Isopropylalkohol-Kombination wird in vielen evidenzbasierten Richtlinien empfohlen.
Geeignet für Prozeduren, inklusive:
- Routinemäßige Venenpunktion
- Blutabnahme für Blutkultur
- Periphere (Arterienkatheter) Kanülierung
- Einfache Biopsie
- Dialysefistel/Reinigung des Zugangs zur Gefäßprothese
- Für Patienten mit empfindlicher Haut geeignet
- Schnell: wirkt schnell gegen ein breites Spektrum an Mikroorganismen, die die Haut besiedeln 1 , 2
- Remanent: Die antimikrobielle Wirkung hält mindestens 48 Stunden lang an 1 , 3
- Umfassend: Wirksam gegen gram-positive und gram-negative Bakterien, u. a. Methicillin-resistenten Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Vancomycin-resistente Enterococci (VRE), Clostridium difficile, Acinetobacter und die meisten Viren und Pilze 2 , 4 , 5
- Aktiv in proteinreichen Biomaterialien: Bleibt aktiv bei Kontakt mit Blut, Schweiß und anderen proteinreichen Biomaterialien 2 , 4
- Aseptische Technik: Aufgrund der Beschaffenheit des sterilen Einweg-Applikators kann ein direkter Kontakt der Hände des Anwenders mit der Haut des Patienten ausgeschlossen werden, wodurch Kreuzkontaminationen vermieden werden 9
- Applikationstechnik: Durch die spezifische Applikationsmethode (vor und zurück) wird eine sanfte Reibung auf der Haut erzeugt, die das Eindringen des Präparates in die obersten 5 Zellschichten der Epidermis fördert. Dort sind 80% der Mikroorganismen angesiedelt 7
- Glasampulle: Die Lösung bleibt steril bis zum Aktivieren. Stellt sicher, dass eine sterile Lösung auf die Haut des Patienten aufgetragen wird 9
- Gezieltes Auftragen: Der dreieckige Kopf ermöglicht eine präzise Desinfektion im Bereich des Katheters.
