    Clear Imaging

The metal-free construction of ClearVUE™ Ports enables uninterrupted imaging, minimizing related artifact that otherwise may mask the identification of tumor growth, new cancerous lesions, or metastasized cancer during MRI, CT, and other radiographic imaging.

    Targeted Radiation

PowerPort™ ClearVUE™ Ports are engineered uniquely to help you avoid reduction in overall radiation dosage through the port, minimize inadvertent healthy tissue radiation, and ultimately eliminate the need for port relocation to effectively deliver radiation therapy.1

In the presence of metal, radiation scatters. The metal-free design of PowerPort™ ClearVUE™ Port has demonstrated no observable back scatter, side scatter, or attenuation.2

    ChronoFlex™ Catheter

In bench top testing, polycarbonate-based polyurethanes, such as Chronoflex™, exhibited significantly higher tensile strength and burst strength when compared to polyether-based urethanes like Tecoflex™3.

3 15 samples each of tubing representing both polyether (Tecoflex) and polycarbonate (Carbothane) urethanes of the same durometer and size were soaked in saline and Taxol and Taxotere carrier solutions for 15 minutes prior to testing. The tensile testing, which measured axial stress by stretching the sample longitudinally, showed that the polyether group (EG) had an overall average 36% reduction in tensile strength compared to the polycarbonate group (PC). The burst strength testing, which measured the hoop or radial strength of the sample, showed that the Polyether group (EG) had an overall average 23.8% reduction in burst strength compared to the polycarbonate group (PC). What Other Placers
    Are Saying

"My staff and I have used a wide range of ports in the past. Once we placed the PowerPort™ ClearVUE™ implantable port and saw the metal free and power injectable features firsthand, it was a simple choice to continue using this port in my practice."

"If I have a patient who is eligible for proton beam therapy to structures in the chest, I will only place a 100% metal free port so that therapy can be delivered without relocating the port. Since ClearVUE™ is MR Safe, this allows my staff and I to place the device without concern about interference with future MR imaging."

    -Ripal Gandhi, MD, FSVM, FSIR

"What truly sets ClearVUE™ apart is its intentional design that considers the patient's future diagnostic and treatment needs. The device's 100% MRI safety enables seamless integration with cutting-edge MR therapies, including MR Linac, expanding treatment options and enhancing the quality of care we can provide to our patients."

    -Jon C. Davidson MD, FSIR

    What Other Nurses
    Are Saying

"What I always do is check if it's a PowerPort™. If it is, I take the opportunity to teach new nurses about how simple the port is to access. You just identify the three bumps, hold it and access right in the middle of the bumps every single time. I do think that is one aspect that makes it a little easier to train new nurses who may not be as comfortable touching or accessing a port."

"Patients who require frequent access may want to consider an implantable access device of some type. I think it's great to avoid the discomfort associated with repeated PIV access."

    -Keilye Pampillonia, BSN, OCN
