About Ami

Ami (Doshi) Simunovich serves as executive vice president, chief regulatory officer and public affairs for BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a leading global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. In this role, she oversees the Regulatory Affairs and Public Affairs functions and is a member of the BD Executive Leadership Team. Simunovich also serves as interim chief quality officer responsible for overseeing BD’s culture of quality to continually strengthen processes and ensure BD products and services are safe, reliable and effective.

Prior to her current role, Simunovich served as BD’s chief regulatory counsel, advising executive management on complex global regulatory law matters. Simunovich has over a decade of experience serving in senior leadership roles, including associate general counsel of regulatory and corporate compliance at C. R. Bard, Inc., associate general counsel of regulatory at Catalent, Inc. and external legal counsel in litigation, regulatory law and intellectual property.

Simunovich is the Executive Sponsor of the African-Americans at BD (AABD) Associate Resource Group. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC), a public-private partnership committed to faster, safer and more cost-effective innovation for patient benefit, and serves on the Board of Trustees for Fairleigh Dickinson University to support BD’s historical connection to the university.

Simunovich earned her doctorate in pharmacy from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University and a doctorate in law from Seton Hall University School of Law.
