Senior Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer, Cleveland Clinic

Lindsey B. Amerine, PharmD, MS, BCPS, CPEL, FASHP, FHOPA, is the Senior Vice President and Chief Pharmacy Officer at the Cleveland Clinic and holds a faculty appointment as Associate Professor of Clinical Education at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She is also the Co-Founder of Amerine Clean, LLC, a pharmacy cleanroom cleaning company and hosts The Unscripted Podcast. Dr. Amerine earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy and her Master of Science degree with an emphasis in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy while completing her two-year HSPA Residency at UNC Hospitals. 

Dr. Amerine is the recipient of the 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2022 ASHP Best Practice Awards, 2015 ASHP Foundation Literature Award, 2017 ASHP Foundation Excellence in Medication Safety Award, and 2018 and 2019 ACCC Innovator Awards. She was selected as a Fellow of ASHP in 2020, a Fellow of HOPA in 2024 and previously served at Chair for ASHP's Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders. She is an internationally recognized speaker and author.

Abbey Weis

Senior Director and Chief Pharmacy Officer, Rady Children’s Health San Diego

Abbey Weis, PharmD, is Senior Director and Chief Pharmacy Officer at Rady Children’s Health San Diego, where she leads enterprise pharmacy operations, medication safety, and regulatory compliance. She has over 12 years of experience in health‑system pharmacy across large academic medical centers. Prior to her current role, Dr. Weis held senior pharmacy leadership positions at UCSF Health and Denver Health, leading multidisciplinary teams and major operational initiatives. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy and completed PGY1 and PGY2 residencies in health‑system pharmacy administration at the University of Arizona Medical Center.

Rita K. Jew

PPharm.D., MBA, BCPPS, FASHP

President, Institute for Safe Medication Practice (ISMP)

Rita K. Jew, Pharm.D., MBA, BCPPS, FASHP is President at the Institute for Safe Medication Practice (ISMP), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania where she leads national efforts to prevent medication errors. Prior to ISMP, Dr. Jew has spent 25 plus-year advancing medication safety and pharmacy operations, guiding hospitals through automation, sterile compounding, and clinical transformation. She has held various leadership positions including Director of Pharmacy at UCSF Health, Executive Director of Pharmacy & Clinical Nutrition Services at CHOC Children’s and Clinical Manager at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. A published author and award-winning leader, she has shaped policy and practice nationwide. Dr. Jew received her Pharm.D. from University of California at San Francisco, completed an ASHP-Accredited Residency in Clinical Pharmacy at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and received her MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is a BoardCertified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS).

Marianne Hatfield

Senior healthcare executive and consultant

Dr. Marianne Hatfield is a senior healthcare executive and consultant with 20+ years of experience leading clinical operations, quality improvement, and nursing workforce strategy across large health systems. 

She is the former Chief Nursing Officer of Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center (WKRMC), the 800-bed flagship quaternary care hospital of the Wellstar Health System in Marietta, Georgia, where she had oversight responsibility for 3,300 clinical and support staff.  With her strong focus on quality improvement and nurse empowerment, during her tenure at WKRMC the nursing teams achieved multiple nursing excellence and quality awards. Seven ICUs received the AACN Beacon Award, five medical-surgical units received the AMSN PRISM Award, the ED received the ENA Lantern Award, and the hospital organization achieved first-time Magnet Designation from the ANCC.  

In her prior role as Vice President of Patient Care Services at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH), she had responsibility for Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (YNHCH) and YNHH Women’s Services.  Under her leadership, YNHCH was awarded the National Pediatric Quality Award from the Children’s Hospital Association in both 2015 and 2017, and YNHH Women’s Services was ranked #1 in Obstetrics and Gynecology by U.S. News and World Report.  

Marianne received her doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) from Quinnipiac University.  She is Certified in Executive Nursing Practice through the American Organization of Nurse Leaders.  She completed an executive nursing fellowship through the Health Management Academy and a healthcare executive fellowship through the Healthcare Advisory Board.  In February, 2026, she received the DAISY Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.

Perry Flowers

Vice President, Medical Affairs, Enterprise Medication Management - BD

As Vice President, Medical Affairs, Enterprise Medication Management, Perry is responsible for strategic positioning of medical and clinical affairs related the medication management process.

Perry has over 30 years of experience in healthcare, in both for-profit and not-for-profits systems.  His career has included clinical care, management, and consulting for hospitals and health care systems.  He has served on regional and national clinical & administrative boards and has presented to professional organizations and providers.  Prior to his 7 year tenure at BD, he served Kaiser Permanente as VP, Acute & Transitional Care, National Pharmacy Program.

Perry, a Texas native, earned a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of Houston and a Masters of Science in pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin.  He has also completed an accredited General Clinical Residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.

Perry has two grown daughters and was recently promoted to Granddad and enjoys his 4 grandkids.  Perry and his wife just celebrated their 8th anniversary and enjoys an occasional round of golf.
