BD Cato™ is an integrated software solution that provides support throughout all stages of therapy: from long-term prescription planning to the preparation and the administration of cytotoxic drugs and other critical substances.
BD Cato™ offers a comprehensive overall solution: our prescribing, compounding and administration modules help connect physicians, pharmacists and the nursing staff. Additionally, the software solution can also operate as a stand-alone application in small pharmacies, as well as in large hospital networks or compounding centers linking up many different wards and facilities offering flexibility and the ability to grow with customers.

BD Cato™ offers a connected solution that electronically sends messages from Prescribe to Pharmacy to Administration, so that changes and amendments can be communicated live. BD Cato™ modules can interface not only with our own BD Cato™ Prescribe module, but with other prescribing and electronic medical records (EMR) systems, as well as IV compounding robots.
This not only reduces the paperwork and phone calls involved, but also reduces the risk of transcribing errors and missed changes. The connected solution extends to bedside administration application BD Cato™ ReadyMed.
BD Cato™ Prescribe Module
BD Cato™ Prescribe provides the functionality to enable users to take action wherever therapeutically relevant decisions are made. It allows attending physicians to plan therapies on a long-term basis.
BD Cato™ Pharmacy Module
BD Cato™ Pharmacy provides the functionality for the gravimetric and volumetric preparation of the prescribed medications including plausibility checks, setup for preparation and necessary tracking, traceability and documentation for validated environments.
